Losing Body Fat Part II - an Unusual Approach

I hope you caught Part I of my review of the “Truth About Abs

In this blog, I’ll continue where I left off…and as usual, I’ll jump right in.

When we left Part I, I mentioned the “secret sauce” of Mike’s
methods involved several important factors that will make or break
your quest to get a six pack or a trim waist.

And I’ve got to tell you, the first one shocked me.

Because in The Truth About Abs, you will do very little work on
your abs!

Just think…no “never ending” sit-ups!

I think you’ll agree how surprising that is, especially considering
the number of “abs” related infomercials you see on TV!

In fact, if you pick up any health magazine, there’s always
something about an ab exercise that will give you a six pack.

So why does Mike take this approach?

Because the issue we all have isn’t with our abs. It’s with the
fat that hides our abs!

We can do ab exercises until the cows come home, but until we shed
the fat that’s around our waist, we’ll never see our abs.

I’ve fallen into that very trap myself. I used to do sit-ups
everyday for months. Yes, my stomach was firm, but it still looked
like a keg, not a six pack.

Boy, did that bug me. And now I know what I was doing wrong.

But there’s a more important reason to remove your stomach fat
other than seeing your abs.

Stomach fat is unhealthy, and Mike explains why and how best to
attack it.

Now let’s get into the training part of the Truth About Abs.

One thing I really like is that Mike spells out what exercises to
avoid when working out.

And I can tell you, they were ones that I’ve been doing since I was
a kid. Basic ones that your P.E. teacher had you do, and could be
doing you more harm than good.

Mike then goes on to outline what he considers the best exercises
to achieve the reduction in body fat you need to show off your abs.

He does a real nice job with pictures and recommended sets, so you
will have a clear vision of what it is you need to do.

He includes sample training programs for all levels from Beginner
to Advanced. But what was most surprising to me was that
recommends training just 3-4 times per week for 45 to 60 minutes.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds good to me!

One thing I never liked about working out was that I felt I had to
do it every day.

Eventually it wore me down…and I’ve already told you how
“wonderful” my results were under that routine!

I hope by this time I’ve given you a good sense of the “Truth About
Abs”.

I’ll leave you with this final note.

I have “spoken” with Mike many, many times over email. I just
can’t overstate how helpful and responsive he has been. To me, he’s
the real deal and his program reflects that.
